Portfolio Analysis

1. Melissa Golden
a) She had a diverse subject, but it was journalism, I think.
b) In one of the pictures the focal point was blurry. Too much going on in a couple of the pictures. They mostly just sighed a lot.
c) The judges liked the portrait of the old man, they also liked the picture of the boy sliding into third base.
d) I didn't really like this photographer at all, the pictures were over edited in my opinion.

2. Dustin Snipes
a) His pictures were centered around sports but also featured some other things.
b) They didn't particularly hate any of his pictures, they did mention how one of his pictures was a little too over edited. One of the swimming pictures was too chaotic. The picture of the boys laying in shoes was not a favorite.
c) They really liked the picture of those girls sitting on the bench during the game because it had so much emotion.
d) I guess this one was the best, but I actually hated all of them. I don't really like this type of photography.

3. Alyssa Schukar
a) This girls pictures were kind of like a documentary type.
b) They actually really hated this girls pictures, they didn't really have anything good to say. They complained about her pictures being distant. They did not like the bulimia story because it was too depressing.
c) They liked that one picture of the guy sweeping, but honestly that was it.

The judges kind of just reminded themselves and each other of their favorite and least favorite pictures. They brought up a lot of factors before deciding that Dustin Snipes was the best.

Second Video
I also liked the picture of the 2 people standing on escalators. The composition was really nice.
